A catch-all functionality that is activated for a certain mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you run some business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be incredibly easy in case you have a cloud service with us. You can enable this option through our advanced, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is built into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the hosting account itself. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you’ve created displayed in alphabetical order and next to each of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously tell you whether a specific mailbox gets all the emails associated with a certain domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this option at any time. In case there is active email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will get a notification from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your permission.
